NSW:Pedestrian injured at intersection crash
A 50-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital with serious head and abdominal
injuries after he was hit by a car in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Police say emergency services were called to the intersection of Oxford and Newland
Streets at Bondi Junction following an accident involving a pedestrian and a car about
8.25 (AEST) last night.
The 50-year-old man was taken to St Vincents Hospital where he remains in a critical
condition after undergoing emergency surgery.
The 49-year-old driver of a BMW sedan was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and
urine samples and is assisting police with inquiries.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
