Qld: Police search for three jail escapees
BRISBANE, Dec 22 AAP - Three prisoners have escaped from a jail in south-east Queensland.
Police today said the men, aged 19, 21 and 27, last night absconded from the Darling
Downs Correctional Centre in Toowoomba.
"The alarm was raised when staff observed movement on one of the exterior fences,"
a police spokeswoman said.
While the trio was not considered dangerous, police urged members of the public not
to approach the escapees.
Police said the three men were in custody for a range of property-related crimes.
All three are described as being 175cm tall.
Two, aged 27 and 21, are of thin build. The older man had a dark complexion while the
other man had a tanned complexion.
The third offender, aged 19, is of fair complexion with ginger coloured hair.
They were all wearing civilian clothing, the spokeswoman said.
